Cherokee Ration Books
Copy of the original records taken from a private source showing the rations given to various Cherokee families at New Echota in Georgia in 1838. There are four different records of this transaction over several months. The families are listed together with location of their residence and in some cases their ages. The side notes are worth the effort to search this Volume.


Memoir of Catharine Brown

A reprint of this rare book describing the diary of a young Cherokee maiden as she attended school at the Brainerd Mission in Tennessee and then ventured out to begin a school near her home town of Creek Path in Alabama. Some of her original letters and diary are used as the basis of this material originally printed in the early 1820's, a year or so after her death.

Creek Ration Book - June 1838
These records are recorded in their original version and reflect the rations given to the various members of the Creek Nation at Camp Clanewaugh near Ross' Landing [now Chattanooga, TN] prior to their leaving for the west. The original of this is found in a private collection of records.
